OpenKrush, is a fan remake of the original KKnD and KKnD 2: Krossfire and a continuation project. The remake is build on top of the OpenRA engine. The engine itself runs under all major operating systems (Windows, Linux, OSX) and provides full control over the content. Primary goal is to implement the full KKnD experience and continue with a self made sequel game.
In early 2020, the KKnD IP was acquired by Ziggurat Interactive. After contacting the developers of the remake, the project was temporarily publicly taken down due to permission issues till early 2021.
