During the Great Surface War, detention centres were used by both Survivor and Evolved forces in order to hold enemy prisoners.
In the KKnD (fan remake), both Survivors and Evolved Detention Centres are serving as their barracks where can train their infantry units rather than the Outpost and Clan Hall.
